Navigo – Mental health provider

Anna Morgan

Director – Corporate Services

As a mental health provider, Navigo is committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our workforce. We recognise that most people’s lives will include at least one episode of caring. Already, 1 in 7 in the workforce will be caring for someone who is older, disabled or seriously ill. But with the number of carers in the UK set to rise from 6 million to 9 million over the next 30 years, the proportion of carers in our workforce is also likely to increase significantly.

Navigo aims to ensure that all individuals working for our organisation are able to maintain a healthy work/life balance between their personal commitments and work. To aid us in this ambition, we have taken a number of steps to ensure the carers within our workforce are recognised and supported. This has included co-producing a Staff Carers Policy, offering flexible working arrangements, additional carers leave entitlements, career breaks, occupational health and wellbeing support, social prescribing support and a carers network. We understand that by supporting our working carers, we can help reduce stress and improve job satisfaction. This in turn helps us to retain a healthy and motivated workforce.

As an organisation, we are committed to delivering services we would be happy for our family to receive. By creating a carer friendly workplace, we aim to attract and retain a talented workforce whilst realising the organisational and social benefits of supporting our carers.
