Good afternoon.
I’m councillor Stan Shreeve. I’m deputy leader of North East Lincolnshire Council, I have the portfolio of health, wellbeing and adult social care and I’m a carer.
We carers play and will continue to play a crucial role in supporting our residents and the people that we care for.
That’s why it’s important that the Carers Centre is creating this accreditation scheme to enable employers to participate, to support their working carers and develop their caring workforce.
As our population ages, carers will play an increasing vital role. And the carers centre holds a central role in supporting carers, and – in cooperation with NE Lincolnshire Council – helps us to recruit, support and retain working carers in our workforce, taking advantage of all of our lives’ rich experience.
So, to sum up: the accreditation scheme that’s being created by the Carers Centre for Employers helps you to help carers to work for you in a better way.
